Privacy
Short version: The vagudukAI app collects nothing about your use of it — no audio, no transcripts, no telemetry, no accounts. This marketing site (vagudukai.com) does use first-party analytics that we operate ourselves; no third-party services are involved in either path.
What we never have
We can't see, log, or share what we never receive in the first place. The following never leave your Mac to anything Yondertech operates:
- Your audio recordings.
- Your transcripts.
- Your API keys.
- Your snippets, vocabulary, hotkey, or any other Settings data.
- Anything in your clipboard, your screen, or other apps.
Local mode
When you use the local Parakeet backend, transcription happens entirely on the Apple Neural Engine inside your Mac. Audio doesn't reach any network at any point.
Cloud mode
When you switch to a cloud backend, vagudukAI sends each audio clip and (optionally) a short vocabulary hint directly to the provider you chose, authenticated by the API key you supplied. Yondertech servers are not involved in this path.
The data lives under the privacy policy of your chosen provider, not ours:
- OpenAI: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
- Groq: groq.com/privacy-policy/
If you enable AI Cleanup or Selection Rewrite, the transcript (and the selected text, if any) is sent to the same provider with the same key. Again, directly, not through us.
Local storage on your Mac
vagudukAI stores a few things locally:
- Settings in macOS UserDefaults (your hotkey, backend choice, snippets, vocabulary, transcript-history preferences).
- API keys and secure snippets in your macOS Keychain, scoped to this device only.
- Up to 30 recent transcripts in History, only if you've enabled it. You can clear them at any time from Settings → History → Clear All.
- Logs via Apple's os_log system, with transcript content marked private so it doesn't show up in unified-log viewers.
None of this is transmitted to Yondertech, ever.
This website
vagudukai.com is served from a Vultr server we operate. We use first-party analytics built and hosted by Yondertech — no third-party trackers, no tag managers, no social widgets, no Google fonts. The pixel is loaded from yondertele.com/track.js, also operated by Yondertech.
What we collect while you're on this site:
- Page views, click targets, scroll depth, time on page.
- Your IP address (resolved locally to country, region, city, and the network operator / ASN — never sent to a third party).
- Browser, OS, and device type from the User-Agent string.
- A first-party visitor cookie (
yt_vid, 1 year) and session cookie (yt_sid, 30 minutes) to stitch events into sessions. Both are scoped toyondertele.com. - For some sessions, a session replay (mouse movement, clicks, scrolls, DOM snapshots) recorded by rrweb. Text input is masked; password fields are never captured.
What we don't collect: any data from the vagudukAI app itself (covered above), data we share or sell to anyone else (we don't), or cross-site tracking beyond the Yondertech-operated properties (yondertech.net, yondertele.com, vagudukai.com).
Opt out: Set the Do Not Track header in your browser, or block yondertele.com in your content blocker — the pixel checks DNT and silently logs nothing. We honor it server-side too. Server access logs (IP, requested URL, timestamp) are retained for up to 30 days for operational reasons regardless.
Payment
vagudukAI costs $1.99 one-time. Checkout is handled by Stripe. We never see your card number; Stripe gives us only the basics needed to confirm the purchase (the amount, your email if you provided one, and a transaction ID). Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Children
vagudukAI is a productivity tool not designed for or directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data because we don't knowingly collect anyone's data.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, the new version will be published here with a new effective date. Material changes (e.g. starting to collect something we don't today) would also be announced inside the app.
